What "is" Net-Neutrality?"

… I believe the President did the right thing. He called on the FCC to
make the right decision when it comes to the Internet and protecting it
from cable companies who want to overcharge or slow down connections.
The FCC seems to be willing to make the right call, by protecting
consumers and the Internet, under a new order which, just like a
utility, would give consumers the ability to be protected from bad
service or exorbitant fees. At this point in time, that is what we need
to do to protect consumers.

A “solution” in search of a problem.

Now let us look at “some” of what is in the actual legislation and see just how “neutral” this will become.

Government has been fighting over how to control this since 2006. Anyone else see how STUPID it is to let the Feds, the FCC or any other Politically motivated bureaucracy have any more control than they already have?

If Obama wants it, I DONT. He has hidden agendas that I dont have time to unravel. I am so DONE with government regulations. They never work, and just feed hidden agendas. Let the cable companies compete, and let the costs be determined by the market.

Leave the Internet alone! It's bad enough that government gives a hernia to almost every aspect of our lives, it now wants to do the same to one of the truly free things left. Leave The Goddamn Internet Alone!!

A mechanic once told me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. What is really missing from our network is fiber optic. Google, I believe is working on this. Why would we need the FCC? Did having water, electricity, gas regulated as public utilities keep us with these necessities? Would we have better sources of electrical power now, more water with desalination plants?

It's a mechanism for control and stifling free speech.

And also created what Ayn Rand called "pull." Nothing gets done without "pull," i.e. Politician favors, lobbyists, and bribes (sorry campaign contributions). Can we say "Anti Dog-Eat-Dog" rule?

Yep! The leviathans history of regulation from meat inspectors in the "Jungle" to the medical industry, education, the drug war, highways, auto industry, well seriously who the hell really believes their regulation is going to make anything better?
Just increased barriers to entry for new competition.
    Hey have fun!
