"Unfortunately, the president appears not to have all the facts," Staples spokesman Kirk Saville said in a statement. "It's unfortunate that the president is attacking a company that provides more than 85,000 jobs and is a major tax payer.""

Yes rmp and kh, I finally just looked it up myself.

Businesses always make adjustments based on government interference (regulations). I honestly think Obama does not understand this.

Staples says they've been doing the less than 30 hour thing for a decade and not related to aca, but... so? The prez has no business making business calls. And, if it quacks like a communist....

After reviewing Staples' balance sheet and income statement, $5Au concludes Staples would be out of business if they tried to do what Dear Leader demands.

Shame only works very short term, if at all. People offering to get more done at a company that pays more is the only long term approach. Shame is at best a laughable political ploy.

Obama sounds like a Communist. I also think the CEO is full of crap. It is most likely the reduced hours are a direct response to the ACA and he should just say so. This law is a disaster for the middle class.

    Good for Staples

They aren't the only ones doing it by any stretch either.

Health insurance used to be part of a benefit package used to attract employees. Once it becomes a mandated requirement, a company has every right to use any out the law allows.

They are in business to make a profit, not help politicians get a nice mention in the history books.

No one should go gentle into yet another power grabbing destructive government insurance scam.
