While I hesitate to endorse an attack on the US, I fear that our current administration is so willfully ignorant and blind that it will take nothing short of an attack to impel him to action.

If they did actually launch, however, I can't see Washington, D.C. being their #1 target. See above.

    Something about MAD comes to mind which prevented the cold war from becoming hot. I remember the cover of Time Magazine with a picture of Soviet Missles pointed at the USA. This time it is Isreal. I doubt our current POTUS would ever retaliate, even if we got hit. But you know Isreal would wipe them out. I pray that they have the nuclear fire power to finish the job. Maybe our next president, if GOP, will see that Isreal has enough weapons to assure its success.

      Israel realizes that Obama is against them, and they aren't going to sit inactive while Iran completes those missiles. I fully expect a pre-emptive response once Iran gets close, along with all the official "protests" from the Obama State Department once they do.
