Is It Immoral for Men to Gestate? Transgendered Women?

Well damn, we had to know it was coming. It's happened a little earlier than I would have expected. Morally, I'm personally ambivalent. I think maybe this falls into the category of 'just because I can jump off a cliff naked, I still don't think I'll do it'.

I don't care WHAT people want to do to their bodies...I just don't want others to be forced to pay for it. That's my angle.

I didn't find pictures but I don't even want to see a man that would opt for this. This is probably a marvelous opportunity for some born without a uterus, but a man doing this? I guess there's just some things that are beyond me.

I think author Randy Gage (a self identified objectivist) has the "go to" answer for this. In several of his books he states "If you ask the wrong questions, the answers are irrelevant". The morality of the topic seems irrelevant. If the technology is there to make it possible, it will be offered as service somewhere. While this country or another might enact legislation against it, (yay! More legislation! Statism continues to grow) another country may decide that they can corner the market on it. Ordinarily, I'd follow up this type of discussion with "what's the better question". In this case, I'm at a loss. I got nothin!

I kicked my husband out until the last push. He took a nap. Everything annoyed me and I wanted no one around. He came in in time to cut the cords. :) I saved the hard work for him.....

I think I'll pass. That last son, she almost squeezed my hand flat and wouldn't let me sneak out of the room to get some coffee. I had to go through the entire thing--it was just so unfair, and I've never had such pain. LOL.

I wouldn't wish child birth labor on anyone, including me, but to each his own pleasure and pain.
