Your coworker needs to ask the French, and for that matter the Brits, if there were any concerns when they were exposed to their Muslim touchy-feely school petting zoos....

"Give me tolerance...or give me death!"

    Famous last words....

    1) it was voluntary, so not sure how that affects anything.
    2) would the proponent have supported a "communion" event where non-consecrated hosts were distributed to students so that they could understand the issues with consuming the same? I dare say not.
    3) would they support eating pork to see how those who don't have a religious objection to it enjoy the "other white meat?"

Yeah...I read about the TX thing a couple of years ago...I showed it to a coworker and she said, "so what's wrong with them experiencing wearing that...then they'll know how confining it feels." omg..NOT The point! WE are in deep shit if we don't PROTECT ourselves...our 'culture' is already oppressed..it's gone.

I read not that long about about something similar, not identical, happening in Texas.

We're in deep shit if we don't protect our culture from this oppressive nonsense.

Yes, the point is that none of it is okay. The bottom line is that tax payer dollars are being used to promote a particular religious belief which is illegal.

Yes it is. Where are the outraged parents...this only mentions one parent with guts enough to write a letter. Depressing.

And that's what you focus on? The caps? "trick to getting people fired up about nothing.." THEY'RE NOT FIRED UP ABOUT THE LARGE LETTERS!! If you think this is "nothing', then you're more of a moron than I already thought you were. Don't you have some Hillary posters to put up somewhere or something?

lol. My comment on the writing style: The trick to getting people fired up about nothing is not to try so hard. Even if the audience is unsophisticated, the self-righteous indignation should flow naturally. All-caps on the word OUTRAGED is trying too hard.

Ham sandwichs for all! That ought to do it.
I call them the "slave suits" because that is what they represent. Wait until these women realize that in Islam they are second class citizens in a male dominated society. But if you leave Islam you will be killed. Sound like fun to wear the head gear? Read Unveiling Islam to learn the truth.

and why was the intern allowed to officially represent the school in a letter to a concerned parent full of name calling? should we have adulterer stoning death demonstrations next?

People go nuts at the slightest mention of God in any classroom or public setting. Yet this is acceptable? This is desensitization at least and indoctrination at worst.

To be fair, if they can do that, then the school can also sponsor a Muhammad cartoon coloring contest. Hijabs are offensive to western women, Muhammad pictures are offensive to Muslims. It's either all okay or none of it is.
