I know the state employees are...no conflict there! Healthcare workers are as well. The ones having their cute little sit-in were the Culinary Union, I believe. The guy across the street from me is a union electrician for the entertainment industry and he's a big union guy, but I don't know if he is SEIU. The electricians may be part of another.

Are all the entertainment workers in Vegas part of an SEIU union? I had read or heard that they were, but I didn't know how true it was.

I have a friend moving back the Vegas in June. Her son, now about 15-16 I think was home schooled from the beginning. If you need home school info in that area I can ask her.

I have to say I'm glad I'm out of the land of Reid and SEIU.

It is totally insane. When I started seeing this in action in Clark County Schools, NV, we yanked our kids out immediately, having no idea how we were going to teach them. The scariest part is that they are working feverishly to keep parents outside.

They don't want to know, because that's how *they* were raised... when the public school system realized kids were spending more time awake in their institutions of indoctrination, er, learning, it enabled them to put forth its re-education agenda. Anyone from the mid-late 60's on who went to a public school was subjected to this... so the kids nowday have parents who had the seeds of serfdom planted at an early age.

Want another interesting coincidence - go to thesaurus dot com... type in "brainwashing", and see how many of the synonyms come back having to do with education.

you make an interesting point. But I was involved heavily in my school district. this stuff wasn't introduced in the last decade. This must be recent or they're starting with huge urban areas, etc.

Perhaps if public indoctrination was something more that a baby sitting service to many parents they'd find out what their children are being taught. If schools were controlled at the local level rather than federal parents would have to take more of an interest.
