Having married two Jewish woman, and having a Jewish son, this may be one of the more difficult pieces I have written...and one of the most heart felt.

Some folks here don't think that Obama's DNA is all over this OVM project.

If it isn't, then it will be completely out of character giving the WH's dismal history of dissing Israel, and it's leaders....

    Thanks for the post.

from an email from Europe... (sorry for the length)

    "
So it is OK for Obama to refuse to see Natanyahu since he doesn't want o interfere in the Israeli election but it is OK if he does this in Nigeria or via the back door by financing a group to overthrow Netanyahu...

To accomplish this, OVM (One Voice Movement ) has hired Jeremy Bird, the head of President Obama’s supremely successful “get out the vote campaign” in the last U.S. election.

Bird and his team have announced their intention to visit 1.5 million residences in Israel to encourage people to vote for a change in government (so much, by the way, for President Obama’s supposed non-involvement in the Israeli election).

Where is the money coming from to pay Bird and his team?

It turns out there is very little “grass roots” about OVM at all–on its own webpage, OVM lists the following entities as donors to the organization:
The Alliance for Middle East Peace, 3 Faiths Forum, Alliance for Peacebuilding, Association of British Muslims, The Council of Christians and Jews, Christian Muslim Forum, City Circle Group, UK Conservative Party, Crown Family Philanthropies, Dotsub, Elays Network, Generations for Peace, Google, Harvard Negotiation Litigation Clinical Program, Generations for Peace, High Atlas Foundation, UK Labour Party, Labour Friends of Israel, Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East, British Muslims for a Secular Democracy, New Israel Fund, The Rayne Foundation, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, The Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts, Skoll Foundation, Nathan Cummings Foundation, Eranda, United Jewish Appeal, Union of Jewish Students, Waltham Forest Council, Wandsworth Council, Westminster Foundation for Democracy, Woolf Institute, Yachad, and the European Commission.

Oh yes, and we almost forgot to mention: The U.S. State Department.

And most of this because Netanyahu calls Obama and his acolytes what they are - conniving hypocrites. And on what planet is Netanyahu addressing congress likely to make the situation with Iran WORSE?

Iran has just published the personal details of his kids and family and encouraged people to kill them.

This is OK with Obama, Kerry and the poison witch, Pelosi?

It's never the change promised or wanted.
After the past hundred years of bankster control of the nations money, we are getting about 3 cents change for the hours labored by all producers (employers and employees) and thanks to taxes, people don't even get to keep that tiny payment. If it wasn't for advances in technology (in spite of the economic and political system) the change wouldn't be enough to prevent starvation.
Eventually the same thing will happen as in every previous age of history, collapse and revolution, followed by the same mistakes again.

And the voters vote for those choices. Hey, NO argument on the "bread and circuses" aspects of American politics At All!
It's nearly all For Show, and I've recognized that for literally decades. But so many voters think their selections will bring "Change..."

    Right....

"It is not surprising that some American campaign types who supported Obama would be drawn to oppose Netanyahu.”
Um, not sure what you mean by that, but fair enough. What seems to me unreasonable is these ‘campaign types’ mounting a campaign on foreign shores. They will not be knocking on doors here in America. Did you catch that? To me, to put together an international effort, why yes, you almost have to have a known figure-head like Obama organizing the team, and recruiting the financiers to pull it off.Somebody big and important is behind the curtain. But, like you, I prefer facts, so it did also crossed my mind when i read the article there were no facts supplied to support a statement that Obama is involved. I guess that is why I stated I didn’t know if it was true. But then again, if you were familiar with my own personal beliefs that I have repeated ad nauseum around here-- I don’t think Obama is behind anything. I think he is mental, and Jarrett is running the show.

But from a strategic standpoint, ISIS is a religious SUNNI thing and they hate the other Arabs. Those Arabs are closeby, and one would think they would attack the Shiite's and take over Iraq like Saddam did earlier. Why come to the USA when there are targets much easier to get right there.

"Mr Netanyahu address to Congress will represent the (usual) blatant intervention in American politics and foreign policy by Israel—a foreign power."

Of course, America never intervenes in the politics and foreign policy of other countries, right?

Okay, but the story does not say that Obama sent a team. It says that campaign professionals who supported Obama worked with an organization in Israel during an election campaign. It is not surprising that some American campaign types who supported Obama would be draw to help oppose Netanyahu. I don't think there is any evidence that Obama "sent" the team. Am I missing it?

If we let him. The blacks who go to the church I attend, will not decamp from it any time soon. Certainly none of us whites will suggest such a thing. Nor would we want to see them go. They're "family" now, and have been "family" for years.

Jews vote Democratic. That's it, that has always been it. You'll find Jews at the forefront of every socialist movement or Progressive cause. Why such a stubborn adherence to the left, I cannot say. When I was a kid, I would ask my mother or father why we voted for FDR, and I got such simplistic answers as, "Because he's for the working class." Sound familiar? Straight out of Marx and I don't mean Groucho. I have fought, argued and debated this with so-called learned and influential Jews. I finally gave up after many years. With all their accomplishments in science and the arts, when it comes to politics the ingrained liberal desires seem to offset the guilt they feel for being accomplished. It is clear that most of Obama's leadership is detrimental to them yet they cling to a fantasy of not what he is, but what he should be. Even the revered FDR was anti-jew, sending boatloads of them to certain death when they attempted asylum from Germany, but they turned a blind eye to any taint of their hero. It was if they shouted "I love you" as they were being shot by a firing squad.

Please don't think for one minute if we leave the Muslims in the ME alone that they will simply leave us here in the US alone. Nothing could be further from the truth. All infidels are the scourge of the earth according to their rule book and there is nothing Holy about that rag.

Great summary, and description of the real costs we (USA) have incurred. Not only has therenot been any benefit to date, but the future points to more long term costs (blood and $$) by us with the same result - nothing.

I don't recall any other president leaving BiBi cooling his heels while he goes and eats with his wife. Obama displays his Muslim teaching with his hateful treatment of Israel.

Obama is an arrogant, petulant brat. He shouldnt be involved in foreign relations, as they dont appreciate being treated that way. In addition, he is a closet muslim. Who knows what he thinks about Jews, and I really dont care.

As to Israel, I think we should stop enabling this whole mideast conflict by giving so much money to Israel so they can buy weapons and wage war. And we should NOT wage war with ISIS, as they pose no threat to the USA. Let them settle the age old religious conflicts in THEIR region on their own- without our interference.

I have to agree with Barman, one of the first surprising statements Obama made once President was to state that Israel must go back to 1967 borders.
I read an article online yesterday that stated many of the President’s 2012 campaign leaders are heading to Israel to work against Netanyahu’s re-election bid. I don’t know if it is true, but there is a grain of truth that this administration would like to see new leadership in Israel. This is about politics. Obama doesn’t want to give Netanyahu recognition before an election. Obama is probably furious that Congress is. Otherwise, this isn’t really an issue that he has been invited to talk to Congress. With Hezbollah lopping rockets right now, Netanyahu looks stronger in his position and purpose.

Sir I am of Jewish heritage, second generation and the USA comes first as far as i am concerned and i will not talk for the other 6 million Jewish people living in the USA but from the perspective of my friends they also hold the same position as i do. Now i will say that i would be very surprised if the other millions think any differently.

The problem that exists is not between the two countries but B.H. O. he is a muslim. he has the same hatred for Israel as does hamas and ALL of the rest of the islamic arab world has. just so you have a better idea as to how the major Jewish population think of 0 even though they voted for him is that he is a schavatzer (you can correct the spelling) and they did vote for him so they would not encounter political problems. They were sadly mistaken.
what 0 does not understand is that we will persevere while he will regardless of how much money he has acquired as the president will be relegated to intellectual bankruptcy a state that he has existed in and will never leave. he will in my opinion also not even have the respect of the black community since they are sliding down the economic slide faster the the rest of us and the ladder of success will be much more difficult to climb.

Then the real model is: Herzl said to his people, "See? I told you so. Stop waiting for the goyim to send you to Devil's Island, and follow me! Now!"
