Yes. There are more outlets, but many of them draw from reporting from the same corporate-owned center-right mainstream media. I still think things are way better than twenty years ago.

The current establishment media can still overwhelm the internet. We have more options but a clear narrative still exists that tilts anti-gun.

Someone should challenge her to go to a gun safety class that involves some lecture and a some time at the range, just to report on how nutty guns and their owners are. I don't expect a miracle, but I'd bet she'd come away less freaked out about guns.

If she is afraid of guns then she can act accordingly but I think she is trying to justify it and trying to get others to think the same way. She needs to chillax.

It is quite rational. Juan Williams was fired at NPR because he said he would be nervous flying with someone who was obviously a Muslim. Gun owners can be insulted endlessly without justification and yet no one objects.

adherents to Sharia law have other rules they abide by, ignoring US laws at times. One could make a rational comparison that criminals also ignore our laws. Personally, I think it's smart to be on guard when out and about, but this woman is paranoid to the point of being ridiculous-and she has an overactive imagination to boot

When I lived in FL, 15 years ago, the rule was you couldn't overtly flash it, even by accident b/c it could be misconstrued as a threat, which seems reasonable to me.

This really shows how the left has created an almost mythical fear of guns. It's funny the woman gave no other description of the man. Was she afraid of being labeled a racist?
