Plausible deniability (and lying) will prevent any prosecution. That and corruption in both parties, of course. Mutually assured destructive blackmail is the bane of a democratic republic.

I think a lot of information will come out after Obama leaves office, when people are free to talk about issue without the fear of losing their jobs or death.
