The constant redesigning to make them not against new laws by wanna be dictators... cosmetic silly stuff. Some related to having a stock or not... hence the folding stock at the end. I think. :)
Well, that was kind of my point for AKs, although clearly far better range than Thompson. Once you get to aiming, either is probably no go. Just trace the impact. 45 ACP is a lot cheaper than 7.62x39 too. Know anyone that makes a 40 SW Thompson clone? Now that would be cool!
But why not, let's have one of each, like Noah's Ark for firearms! :)
I think you need both, the Thompson only shoots 45ACP, great for up close but poor for distance. I can't find a drum magazine for mine at a reasonable price.
That's the word on AK's. Rugged and reliable, but inaccurate, particularly given the sight radius. I thought about getting one, but don't need spray and pray (I think), and if I did, I think I'd go with a Thompson.
I laughed out loud when the shot glasses increased in size. I'd be willing to bet that half of the lefties viewing this little film, don't get it at all.
What I liked was the reference to "rough hand tools" when building the AK... that was part of its charm - no nonsense, rugged as a rock, gunsmithable in the field using what have you.
Oh yeah, that and upsizing the tumblers of Russian Standard. They probably could have gone to 8 ounce glasses as well... thing is, a Russian engineer could still function after polishing off that bottle. Wonder how the Amerikanskis did?
Anyway... looks like a nice carbine... too bad they won't let us near one in Califunny...
They did a fine job. Funny, Washington does the same thing and the outcome is not nearly as good. Maybe Washington needs to drink more so they can get it right. Lol
