    proud roman. I don't know about the missing letters. It didn't make the final cut though. all the words showed up on the dime, I think. They made the image after Martha Washington.

    Kind of a hideous looking woman. And why couldn't they fit in the last two letters of Indust(ry)?

    As for the price paid, although its a precursor to money, it wasn't actual money, and even if it were, its value is as art not as money. Thus, it's worth whatever one values it at. Whether others will also value it at that price, who knows, but my guess is that it will continue to go up.
