A New Year's Message from Producer John Aglialoro and the Atlas Shrugged Team

"3 seasons, 13 episodes per season - that would be 39 episodes to tell the story. To tell it the way it's supposed to be told - explicitly." - John Aglialoro, Producer

Today, he said that. This morning actually. Nothing official yet, but yes, John laid out a plan for a mini-series and set it as a real goal for 2015-2016. How's that for a Happy New Year!?

2015... HERE. WE. COME.

Happy New Year!

In the current TV market this would really make sense as long as it can be produced properly. AND as long as I can burn from my memory that tag line from the last movie. ("You're my forever" or whatever it was. I tried to forget it as soon as I heard it.)

Agreed. I'm reminded of the cinematic production of Fountainhead. It was not an "interesting" movie (much like Aglialoro's first 2 films), and it certainly was esoteric, but at least it communicated Rand's philosophy. Don't get me wrong, I am an admirer of Aglialoro. I've spent tens of thousands on his Cybex equipment because - it's superlative. My wish is that he would leverage his rights to Atlas Shrugged to produce something equally superlative. Something, certainly, better than the cookie-cutter crap Hollywood tends to produce.

    Now that's a project I could support.

At first I thought he was quoting me. Then I realized--the numbers were a little off. I would have plumped for ten episodes per season, to go along with the named chapters of the three parts of the book. But yes, I could see thirteen. And especially: carving out a special three-hour episode to carry the whole of John Galt's speech.

Netflix, Lionsgate, or The Blaze would do a fine job.
We don't need to wait a decade for a 3 season series. Let's get started. Kickstart anyone?

I was thinking that a platform like Netflix would be perfect for this season x episode format.

Netflix has also produced some pretty superior series.

Happy New Year to everyone associated with the trilogy. As a supporter to #3 and a lucky participant in the Movie (my 6 seconds of fame) I would give again for the mini-series. In previous post over the last few years I've pushed for something like this. One cast and continuity would , I believe, open Rand's work to soooo many more people. I ordering my CD pack this weekend. Alex, Happy New Year and thanks for helping me get my video into the movie. Very, very grateful!

This would be great to see. I look forward to it and will have post its ready. I also want to thank the Atlas team again for having me out to the World Premier in Las Vegas. It was a thrill of a life time meeting Mr. Aglialoro, his wife and the Atlas team. Thank You Clint Wooten

I want to be a part of it, and here is my first suggestion; film it in Albuquerque (note Breaking Bad); tons of movie studios, beautiful weather, and with only 500,000 population in the city limits, no one here cares about you Hollywood movie stars. We just look the other way, when we see you; ask Julia Roberts; that is why she bought that Taos ranch house, twenty or so years ago.

I bought an old adobe in Taos about that same time , so I remember.
