He had the gall to call them and wish them "good luck." What an ass. Could have let these service members have their wedding, but his round of golf is more important.

    The phone call from bo made their day and having to change venues at the last minute was a blessing in disguise? Really??? This is the kind of shit that makes me nuts. You've got the boob on the phone and instead of voicing your irritation with his arrogance you kiss his ass. Gag!! I would have told him I had no desire to speak to him. You've ruined my wedding plans and now you wAnt to waste my time? Go hit some golf balls, or something else equally important and leave me alone. Ewe, and don't call me again.

      They are officers in the Army (and as reported, WP grads, which just reinforces that the Corps has), so had to be careful about how they react to the chain of command.

    I had always for the 1st 5 years been able to leave Oahu during his visits. Since last year I was asked to coach basketball, I've had to say good bye to ski holidays and hello to living with a king on the same island. You cannot hike, paddle or drive where like when the king is on island. Tomorrow I will brave potential risk and visit a store in Kailua. I'm going early and let's hope the king sleeps in.
    This couple got their big day stuffed by the king and his punohoe buddies, and we paid for the golf.
    May Chicago win the kings library.

    He did claim that he didn't know that they were told to relocate their wedding. I suppose he must have found out from the media like the rest of us did. Don't his people ever tell him anything?

    There was some commentary on this on the dreaded msn, and the point was emphasized that O didn't even know that they had to move their wedding. Well, somebody knew, and somebody blew a beautiful opportunity for positive presidential press - "President attends wedding of service members at golf course when he learned ....." They did actually invite him, and he - of course - declined.
    Just another event brought to America by the "sit down and color or stand up and bend over" Presidential Improve the Approval Rating Team. aka PIART, pronounced pee-art. 'cause that's what they're good at.

          The only thing I see in this whole deal is bo abusing his power and taking advantage and further interrupting their plans and their day..like he was doing them a favor by gracing them with a phone call from the emperor. My hatred runs deep. He crapped on their and they made it easy for him to do it. It's gross.

          Could be, but I'd offer one or two alternative scenarios...
          1) after enough WP training, they know that they must worship their Commander In Chief or their military careers are toast.
          2) they're sheeple who believe that the Prez really IS 'more important in ALL things than are their fellow citizens.

          Sad either way. And if they cherish their future careers, we'll probably never hear any different story from their lips until their life stories are posthumously published...

    I remember when W was in office. He'd stay in DC until after Christmas so that the WH staff and Secret Service could spend the holiday with their families.

      I heard on the radio today that both Bush's, Reagan and Clinton stayed till after Christmas. Just goes to show the distain to everyone else that this man displays!!!

    Someone asked me if I was invited to lunch with Obama, what would I tell him. I answered that I have no interest in ever meeting him, and there is nothing I would want to waste my time telling him. He is an arrogant, petulant, brat in my opinion, totally unsuited to be president of our country. I cringe when he goes overseas representing USA- Other countries look down on him as someone of no class or experience.

    This is an entitled black man. I hate when he comes to Las Vegas and ties up traffic and costs millions of dollars in security because he is paranoid so many people hate him that he might be assassinated. He should stay in his white house and save us all the headaches

    had the couple been BLACK he would have joined the even though they were Marines.

    He is a a person who does not THINK. He functions as a spoiled child wanting his way and only his way. He maybe in his 50's but he functions as a two yer old.

    When you are in the military, you cannot insult the Commander-In-Chief even if he's an arrogant ass. If you do, you can kiss any promotions goodbye no matter how good you are. If that means nothing to you, then you might as well get out ASAP. The man's disrespect was evident from the first week he took office until the present time, and if you want, as most socialists do, a classless society, you have a fine example of a classless person in the form of Barack Hussein Obama.

      "Who can open a myRA? The accounts are targeted at the millions of low- and middle-income Americans who don't have access to employer-sponsored retirement plans. That includes roughly half of all workers and 75% of part-time workers.

      The White House says it will "aggressively" encourage employers to offer the program, noting that they won't have to administer or contribute to the accounts. myRAs will initially be offered through a pilot program to workers whose employers sign on by the end of the year."

      I believe that's the current situation with 401k's, since I'm paying the fees for mine. Why the hell would an employer not currently offering a 401k set up this MyRA program?

      Ah, the secret gets revealed later in the article - "But unlike traditional Roth IRAs, the accounts will solely invest in government savings bonds. They will also be backed by the U.S. government, meaning that savers can never lose their principal investment."

      So, this is really only a scheme to sell more bonds. Good luck when those bonds are worthless.
