Note: Signs carried by "protesters" are professionally done. Suspect the usual Soros-backed progressive groups coordinating these protests.

I was watching Glenn Beck when he was on Fox News during the afternoon and was doing one show devoted to George Soros.
As the show ended, Beck picked up a tall stack of folders and began to read the names of Soros-funded left-wing organizations.
Each time he read a name, he dropped that folder on the floor.
Each folder dropped touched or almost touched the other.
It became an unforgettable OMG! moment as Beck left a long trail across the stage floor all the way to a distant door where he waved bye-bye. .

after I found his show, I watched them all -- very
informative and also maddening. . he traced the
progressive movement back to Teddy R. . they have
been working this theme for over 100 years and
know how to do it. . like wearing down a mountain,
one stone at a time . . . .but much faster with BHO. -- j

I just read an article by Ayn Rand in her Objectivist Newsletter published Sept 1963 titled RACISM. It is quite lengthy but to the point that racism was very much in decline when Capitalism was growing. Now that altruism and socialism are growing racism is growing. That is what the protesters are promoting.

You want to know what was really wrong with AS3?

That Sean Hannity didn't suddenly up and disappear right in front of millions of people, and show up as the regular newscaster in the valley. "I quit, Miss Taggart, after they told me once too often what they would or would not let me say."

You need a hundred-plus protestors to show up in Santa Claus outfits carrying some type of message of their own. Make a spectacle of the protestors and they will be seen as ridiculous sooner rather than later.

The more I think about this --the more I think I’m on the right track. Think about the Tea Party protests with Glen Beck and how Colbert made a mockery of them with his organized protest a month later. Think about all the times a protestor showed up at a Tea Party rally or protest carrying an offensive sign only for people to learn later, much later, that the protestor was actually a leftist stirring the pot. Did people care? No, because initially, the photo-op left an impression. FOX better be pro-active. They need to send people out into the crowd to be part of the photo-op. Otherwise, FOX will have to deal with the competitors spending the next few months talking about the ‘concerns’ of protestors who feel News Corps is racist organization. The facts or sanity won’t make this go away. They may just be getting started. Nip this with a BLITZ!

I would call it veiled justice -- like an attractive
woman wearing a video camera and carrying a weapon,
to document and control a situation designed to
take advantage of her. -- j

Uh...but...would you call it that if a liberal showed up at a tea party, pretending to be a member thereof, with a sign that said, "Let's shoot all the nigger children!"?

I am not very good at contemporary culture, John, so my question was genuine - I do not know if there is a cant term for this type of behavior.

excellent point. . if the tea party group immediately
encircled the liberal with the sign, all pointing and
frowning, there might be hope. . this is dangerous
territory, but the right needs to learn to navigate
here because the left lives in a sea of treachery
when they do strategic thinking. -- j

p.s. I guess that this sounds like "dropping to their level"
just because they did. . one thing for sure::: we must be
more vigilant about things like this. . term? . sneak attack?

                Mimi and John -

The only thing I can think of is to be read with signs that say, "Troll!" and have a swivel pointer arrow. Then perhaps surround and mock would work...but you would have to work fast or there will be staged shots as soon as the defaming sign(s) appear.

I gather that 'troll' is the only term. I was hoping that there was another word - one that implied the subterfuge involved.

Sorry about reminding you of your sense of ethics - It was an accident. Really. What was I thinking?!

It’s a publicity stunt, Jan, with the goal of minimizing the impact of propaganda.
The trick is to change the dynamics. "They came to protest the news station, but then this happened instead.” That’s the goal: confusion. The goal is not to directly take on protestors, but to minimize their impact by giving the audience something else to focus on.
I was suggesting being pro-active about it, but I wouldn’t call what I suggested counter-propaganda. Usually, counter propaganda is based in truth not gimmicks. Counter-propaganda is what FOX will have to resort to if they do nothing.

well, Mimi, we could also call it diversion -- like
the current admin using quantitative easing to make
the Dow go up, while increasing taxes and running
up a monster debt using smoke and mirrors, on the
other hand. . or "pardoning" Cuba to take our
attention off a host of other scandals.

they are very good at it. -- j

p.s. there was an NSA document dump on
Christmas Eve, I hear, which is damning to
the admin -- though heavily redacted (censored).
another good example of strategic thinking.

              I don’t know. It’s a lot like kabuki theater.
What I see happening is the real trolling, a ‘movement’ is being fostered and fledged-out by many groups working in tandem: everyone from Al Sharpton to defunct occupy-wall-street protestors to marxist youth groups to vintage black militia. This is snow-balling.
I am all for stepping on toes and squashing the momentum, because I am not in a big hurry to find out what exactly their long-term aims are.

But from a moral stance, I don’t agree with my suggestion to fight back with planted diversions.(Darn you for reminding me I have morals!)
It’s just wishful thinking on my part to want to stop this --whatever this is with planted Santas.

yes, Mimi, we all have consciences ... here in the Gulch ...
but when the opposition does not have a conscience,
                "what's a mother to do?"

that is why I suggested that vigilance for their a-moral
behavior is required. . we generally do not think
like that, and then fail to anticipate others thinking
                like that. . know what I mean??? -- j

The usual name for it is a false-flag operation -- and it'll be a sad thing if we're reduced to having to do it just because the enemy does it.

It will also likely be much harder for us to get away with than for them, because no one owns the name "Tea Party". We can't tell real members from impostors until we elect them and watch them fail to cut spending. But the DemonRats' "demonstrations" are always at least scripted, and usually rehearsed by groups like the Ruckus Society when they don't consist entirely of paid shills like the SEIU. So when some of ours start infiltrating *their* demonstrations, I expect them to have some form of security force that catches on quickly and escorts the impostors out before the news cameras can see them.

well, what sort of tactics would Ragnar use when
seeking to take a cargo without bloodshed?
I would think that he might include false-flag
as a legitimate ploy. . something like the secret
service checking out a venue in advance -- they
would need a few ordinary Janes and Joes to
schmooze with the staff to get the truth. -- j

I can just see the signs the Santas could carry:

“Kimberly Gillfoyle is too thin to represent latinos!
“Kelly is too white to report facts!”
“Murdoch robs the poor of trophy wives!”
          “Charles Payne wears black-face!”

I’m joking, btw. Hopefully, FOX would put more thought into it.

O'Reilly is such a nanny-statist I find it embarrassing to have him purporting to speak for the Right. He must think he's still a grade school teacher. Everyone who argues with him is (in his mind) a child to be shouted down if not spanked.

I tried to send FOX an e-mail a while ago because this crazy lady broke into the Department of Energy and spent the night in the lobby, then left later of her own accord without being caught, and it was not being reported on the news. It happened the same week that guy broke into the White House. It was a woman off her meds during a time the community was out looking for her because she had taken her two kids from their home and refused to tell the father or the family where they were. The children are still missing. The police want to treat this as a homicide. The week the woman and the children were reported missing, the police released a video of the mother wandering around a lobby of an ‘undisclosed’ business in the middle of the night, hoping someone would recognize her and help locate her. It was the Dept of Energy. How the heck she got in there without getting caught is kind of mind-boggling. She was caught a few days later. Anyway, I sent an e-mail to FOX, then my e-mail went down for three days. It was probably nothing, but it made me nervous. The woman’s name was Catherine Hoggle. The video is still on youtube of her wandering around. Her husband’s family told me they think she followed the clean-up crew in. It’s just mind-blowing to me that she escaped unnoticed. The Dept of Energy has a high security fence and a security-gate entrance. Nobody goes in or out without checking in. Still...nobody has publicly reported the breach except by word of mouth.

It seems like the Tea Party and OWS started organic protest movements, people standing up to petition the gov't to change things they didn't like. Political parties and interest groups like the free-Palestine one are eager to move in co-opt them.

I can't tell whether the protest against rightwing commentary outlets is organic, but I disagree with it in any case. People can see Fox News and the New York Post for what they are. We don't need to shut down opinions. Even if we want to because the Internet makes publishing ideas cheap, and that's a good thing. Let people pretend like FoxNews is somehow related to real news if they so desire. Enough people want factual apolitical reporting; the market will provide it.
