I find that article very interesting. Being arrested for the chemical makeup of your body...

The DUI industry really rakes in the dough, certianly. I am just about the only male I know who hasn't been busted. It seems like everybody has been run through.

My household operates under Rule Number One: Don't Get Caught. Any activity which could result in a penalty is fine as long as you don't violate Rule Number One.

Some activities have cataclysmic or unpredictable consequences. Some are just unlawful.

Sometimes, you just have to forego that activity in order to comply with Rule Number One. That's why I won't drink and drive.

I would bet anyone, many of us can drive more safely after two beers than just about anyone over the age of 70, or less than 18, and a lot of people talking on cell phones, distracted by radios or other in between.

I think it's odd that if you drive very drunk, risking hurting people, but get caught the penalty is much less than if by luck you hurt someone. It's all probability. The chance of hurting someone goes up with drinking. It seems to me you've committed the same level of crime by driving drunk, regardless of whether you hurt someone.
