Good advice! If I get my other stuff done, I may just look around for some styrofoam this holiday season...

I've been in manufacturing for over 30 years now. I'm still old-school. All manual machines and techniques....supporting folks who need "Onsies" and automated production. Still love to watch the "Old-timers" ply their passions.

I have a suggestion. Start with Styrofoam and an Exacto knife. Graduate to Balsa wood. Learn the techniques and feel of the blade. White pine takes substantive hand strength / control. A few trials with the prior materials...away you go. Good fortune!

They would make a nice last minute Christmas present. You could even paint them festive, and put the gift receiver’s name on them.

Love It! :) I sent this link to my husband and my 18 year old son... Then I sat here and waited to hear them both say "oh my god!" "ONE piece of wood..holy shit!" lol
