This is how unprecedented government debt, central bank balance sheet expansion, and a sustained zero rate policy―policies designed to promote growth, inflation and its consequent devaluation of debt (especially government debt), and reduce unemployment―produce instead one of the weakest recoveries on record and will lead to a deflationary depression, with the mathematical certainty of the interest rate equilibration function and the inexorability of mounting debt service.
