Overall I agree with you. Data supports the fact that more people have purchased the book after every part of the trilogy was released. So the goal of bringing in more people has been successful. Watching ASIII last night with my boys who just came home from college was fun. I could not help but hope that someday maybe someone in the movie industry will try to make another series and make it better. I like they way the Batman TV series was made much better in the movies. Now when I look back at the TV series I'm embarrassed that I liked it as a kid. I still like watching the reruns though.

I agree Shruggy. Before watching the movie in Vegas I was expecting those scenes to be included and was disappointed they were not included. I thought they were helpful to the story and were so good in the book. I think for Part III they tried to do the best they could with limited funds so that the series could be completed. My guess a major Hollywood production would have included those scenes. Hopefully the movie gets people to a point where they read the book and look more Rand's philosophy with more curiosity. Let's face it... no matter how they movie was produced it would never meet the expectations of us die hard Atlas fanatics.

Every scene from an 1100+ page book isn't going to make it into even 6 hours of video. What was there was AWESOME. And it leaves those who's interest is piqued incentive to go READ THE BOOK!

And the wet nurse scene, and hank refusing to fund his family, Francisco fighting the thugs at the mill, and hank at all, and ranger giving hank the gold bar, and the fisherwife scene, and eddie abandoned on the train, and Owen Kellogg on the train when it broke down saying he was on his way to see important friends..... I'll stop here.

    Interesting.

I'm familiar with the wind power research site where the witness works.

There are some very interesting things that go on in Colorado, for whatever reason...
