We're in a huge experiment to see what happens if programming for young kids is easily available and able to be watched portably. I'm not sure the result will be bad, but it's something my parents couldn't have imagined when I was kid in the 70s. My wife and I think of ourselves as anti-TV, yet our kids watch way more TV than we did, probably more than we could have if our parents had timed it to be home and watching every hour of kids programming available.
