Hopefully the Pendulum of Justice will swing back in real life like it did in the book, but I wouldn't count on that happening in < 2 years.

The greater power one has the greater the opportunity for corruption. The entire system of our government is far to powerful for my comfort.

Yes, Patent law used to be one of the most rational areas of law. It was a joy to work in then.

Comrade citizens, our more than equal elite betters are all into what is called "the keep that corporate crony big time chipping-in technique."
To allow the ripping off of stalled patents, the collective enriches crony corporations who in turn can afford huge campaign contributions.
Little small time whiners who lose their patents should be happy to contribute to the collective anyhoo.
Now, comrade citizens, let us all raise a late 60s revolutionary fist salute and render a hearty cry of "Power to the people!"

Wow. And here I thought there might still remain some small sliver of uncorrupted government. This article quashed the last hope I had. Time to start over. There's no other way.

Wow, sounds like Pendulum of Justice doesn't it. I knew the the Patent Office (PTO) purposely denied or delayed patent applications that they thought they would get political flak for. I have even had examiners tell me they were not going to allow a patent application because they did not want to see it on the front page of the New York times.
