I have no idea how I feel about this. My gut says, if the gov't is so quick to want to regulate it to "keep it free" we probably should be against it.
What we need is a public broadband infrastructure. A wireless peer-to-peer system that is held in the public trust, like BitCoin with its public ledger.
Ham radio sort of offers this in packet radio, but it more a novelty than practicality.
