You know it was truly an honour for me to serve alongside others with similar character that were willing to sacrifice their comfort to be in the military. Not everyone was as respectable as the next but we were all there doing the same thing. Whether our motivation was getting free schooling or whatever else it may have been, I felt the pride amongst us. We all believed we were doing something positive. I fortunately never had to go to war but I know plenty who did and others who were lost.
It's rather difficult for me to continue to promote the war machine however. I like fellow veteran Ron Paul and his foreign policy myself. I just feel like I was working for the enemy during my time in the military. Especially having worked for the NSA and knowing what we know now. Though this doesn't take away from the people that believe they are doing good, but I believe this is comparative to the NAZIs.
Thanks for your service. I was originally opposed to Paul's positions on defense and I am still a little skeptical but the more we learn the more I start leaning his direction.
He likes to stay out of conflicts. He is a little too dovish I think but after seeing what the NSA has been doing I would rather scale back our foreign footprint.
thanks for your service, roger. Hey did you see the Redeye episode about an actor who wrote a book about the making of this cult followed notoriously bad film.? http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17404...
