A good friend of mine parked outside a grocery store and a woman waved him over to her colorful, yellow tent. "Hey, Mister. Want an Obamaphone." "No, Ma'am, I wouldn't qualify; I make too much money." She tried again. "You gotta government check?" "Well, no, just Social Security." "That qualifies. Come get your phone." My friend, a very Southern gentleman, politely declined, but it made an impression. This is what the Welfare State has come to.

The free Obama phones probably never really shutoff. They are probably the equivalent of the telescreens from 1984.

    You know, it is really kind of scary. So many of these phones have cameras, microphones, GPS, memory chips. They could easily be compromised. They are the perfect spy machines and everybody wants one...

      Most have them. I can get on my computer and ask it to locate my phone if I lose it. I haven't, but that tech exists. I've used the map guide feature, and it shows my position on a map as a blue dot, and the relation of it to the address I'm looking for. Big Brother could be easily watching me, and know how fast I was going for that matter.

      LOL If this weren't so pathetic and sad (and TRUE) it would be hilarious. Oh hell..it IS hilarious. (only because you're saying it, not because of the truthfulness.... oh you know what I mean!)
