It needs a new entrance to 'compete' with other government monuments in the Dark Center.

    Yup. The Smithsonian Castle, and the above mentioned museums in the article are incredible to ‘look at’ but don't offer much for the average tourist. They have more of an academic appeal. The Air and Space, The National Gallery of Art, and the Natural History Museum are the go-to spots along the Nat. Mall.
    This would be a collosal waste of money
