Yes, G, that would be pure folly. I was fortunate enough to stay at home, but worked for an amazing woman who let me bring my baby to work. This was accomplished with ease, as she had a home office, and our clients were often not home. Interior design, btw. After moving back to the Northeast, I stayed home after my second child was born. But I'm an artist. I have a studio in my home. I pay taxes. Ridiculous taxes. As does my husband. It revolts me to see what he earns, compared to what actually goes in the bank. The government has not earned ANY OF IT. I don't vote for democrats. I won't vote for democrats. I use my brain when I vote. And even when we were first married 19 1/2 years ago, and we were piss poor, I didn't vote for any democrats. Because I used my brain.

Lord knows I've tried. They DON'T want to talk about it...or ANYthing else... Aside from the gulch, and my Mother (and a smattering of sisters), I'm the only woman I know who is an informed voter.
You have a point BambiB but you are coming off a bit woman haterish. DO you hate women? What's your story?

And the fact that you don't recognize a Cheech and Chong quote, then take affront tells me your sense of humor is not as well-developed as you apparently think! ;-)

BTW, there's no "hate" category here, unless you're a f**** socialist/communist. Maybe poorly informed, maybe unteachable (don't know on either count), but no point in wasting time/energy on "hate".

If you're annoyed enough, why don't you go find one of the women who is in the majority and convince her that her views are STUPID, rather than ping on me because I bring to your attention that the MAJORITY of voting women are destroying America?

On further reflection, you've just described the reason that:
    72% of Blacks
    53% of American Indians
    42% of Hispanics
25% of non-Hispanic Whites, and just
    17% of Asians
    are raised in single-parent homes.

    Not at all.

In fact, if you could read and retain what you've read, you'd already know that I've said that a majority of women and a minority of men are responsible for the upcoming destruction of our economic system.

But the bottom line is, that minority of men doesn't matter, so long as the majority of the majority is voting for destruction.

Well, that's probably part of it. But women do that anyway. It's an interesting aspect of the book, "Men on Strike" that sex is no longer the barter chip it used to be. In a lot of younger men, video games are of equal or greater interest than women.

In most cases, doing the same things they've done for the 1000 centuries before this one.

Dumbfounded because the economy is facing imminent destruction? Dumbfounded because women did it? Dumbfounded because the "independence" of women extends only so far as men provide security?

Or just dumbfounded because that's your natural state?

There's no "reply" for your comments GMudd, and a 3-inch column would be painful. I'll my reply elsewhere on this page (at the top level) with the LABEL (HORRORS!) "*** Reply to GMudd***"

I actually know some women who fall into that category...but then the question will be...what do men think is "useful". Knowing how to shoot? Cooking?

"The gross excess of western women, most prominently American women, have doomed the economic system. When the dollars crashes (and it will), money won't mean anything... the government won't mean much either, and women will be right back trying to be useful to men. "

    Just wow.I am dumbfounded.
