Charles Rangel: Calling Tea Party 'White Crackers' Was 'Endearment'

A pejorative is a 'term of endearment' as long as it's directed at whites.

Is there any wonder the country has fallen? This guy has been re-elected again and again. What does that say about the citizens who allow it?

For politicians grass-roots movements centered on issues, such as Tea Party or OWS, are troubling. Squabbling over identity groups such as race, OTOH, is right up their alley.

I'm not sure anyone can talk fast enough to explain it before people are at least drawing down on him.

How about a t-shirt with his photo [icky, I know, but stick with me a moment] and wording that says
    "Charles Rangel says
    I'm a white cracker.
    WTF does that mean?"
    or something similar.
I'm not sure I'd want to get in to the discussions I'd get in to if I wore it, though.

Charles Rangel is an idiot. He is one of the reasons race relations will never improve in this country. He and Sharpton and Jesse Jackson derive their power by perpetuating racism. Sad and disgusting. We can only hope new leaders emerge soon.
