    Hello rmcd1957,

"Racism is the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism. It is the notion of ascribing moral, social or political significance to a man’s genetic lineage—the notion that a man’s intellectual and characterological traits are produced and transmitted by his internal body chemistry. Which means, in practice, that a man is to be judged, not by his own character and actions, but by the characters and actions of a collective of ancestors.

Racism claims that the content of a man’s mind (not his cognitive apparatus, but its content) is inherited; that a man’s convictions, values and character are determined before he is born, by physical factors beyond his control. This is the caveman’s version of the doctrine of innate ideas—or of inherited knowledge—which has been thoroughly refuted by philosophy and science. Racism is a doctrine of, by and for brutes. It is a barnyard or stock-farm version of collectivism, appropriate to a mentality that differentiates between various breeds of animals, but not between animals and men.

Like every form of determinism, racism invalidates the specific attribute which distinguishes man from all other living species: his rational faculty. Racism negates two aspects of man’s life: reason and choice, or mind and morality, replacing them with chemical predestination." Ayn Rand.

I won't/can't justify every comment to appear on this board. That would be irresponsible and I am not responsible for them. Every site has some bad apples, but I would invite you to present a story of a similar nature involving Cacucasions or any other race you desire, and chronicle the response of the majority before you condemn the entire group with your wide brush. Your comments to date suggest a bias of your own that lead one to believe you see racism under every stone. You believe yourself capable of looking into everyone's soul and determining motivation. I find that presumptuous. Until you have observed a different reaction generally from these people when the same conditions except for skin color exist I find your reasoning suspect. You comment and call racism, yet you never address any specifics. You just lay down your blanket opinion and leave it at ad-hominem. This logical fallacy does not bolster your argument.

Just because the perpetrators are of color does not excuse the actions and just because there are a disproportionate number of these stories does not indicate racist intent. It is a statistical fact that there is a disproportionate amount of mayhem/crime perpetrated by a minority in this nation. That is a fact not racism. It therefore stands to reason we will see more of them. It is largely a matter of social conditions NOT genetic. For instance, poverty is thought to be a major factor regarding crime and studies show that there has been a continual breakdown of the family unit and it is a large factor influencing behavior. More children are being born out of wedlock in broken homes. This factor has reached epidemic proportions in the black community and is also growing in the white community. See/google the studies by William Galston. Here are few links to articles that references his work and how it corresponds to poverty.

My golf buddy said a few years back as we strolled up a fairway, "If you've read Atlas Shrugged and watched Idiocracy you have clarity." This is right out of Idiocracy...

I hate to admit it. But, I laughed really hard when I saw this video recently. It wasn't a laugh of joy. More like a laugh of resignation that our society is really finished. I can't believe not only that adults would act like this, but the laughter was from the realization that this kind of behavior isn't all that rare.

If the past is a good predictor of the future, the coming Dark Age will outlast all of our lifetimes.

Again, it's the New American Way.. "Nobody shall be disappointed by anything, any time, anywhere."

Goes back to FDR and some of his 'protect everyone from everything' policies and programs.

And this is what it produces.
    Bleah!

Being a non-black behind the register anytime appears to be racist from what I have seen. Poor woman gets blasted every day. Shame, really. She’s very sweet and customer-oriented. She works six days a week, raises two kids, and when ever her husband has the day off from the UPS, he comes in works. I always tease him he must be on holiday if I am seeing him at the store.
