Correction: Socialism "is" the worst form of fascism.

That is how the cookie crumbles.

That is how far they have all been pulled to the left. The same thing is happening here, which is why we're so upset about it. At least in America, there is a sense of freedom to compare to, so we can see the trend toward socialism. In the UK, and other places, it wasn't so obvious since most of those countries still love collectivism.

Very good, thanks for posting. That's why it's important to understand when reading about politics in the UK, Australia, or New Zealand, "conservative" for them is our "liberal" here. Liberal over there means "conservative" here. Weird.
