TSA ~ "The Stupid Agency"

I can't believe I'm agreeing with Chucky Schumer on something, but whomever in the TSA made the decision to allow pocket knives on board should be fired pronto. Then fire his or her boss, and so on. Oh yeah, where is LESS THAN ZERO on this one? By the way, Chuckie, you can always write legislation to overturn the TSA's decision. That IS one of the perks of your job. In addition to making speeches and standing behind Reid, you get to introduce bills in the Senate.

    It said zero when I was replying to it and then it said 1 after I entered my reply...another glitch maybe.

    It wasn't me. I only vote down when it's something that's outrageously wrong. I think I've only done that about twice since I joined~indicative of the high-quality folks in the Gulch. None of my vote downs were to LS or kh.

    Oh, for LetsShrug, once you're past the "mile" mark for comments, will you start your own "mile-high club"? Inquiring minds want to know. =)

    That's the plan :) I was born with these babies, I don't need a permit. (Wait, that's still true, right?..we don't need a license to carry our own natural born body parts around, do we?) Oh God, I think I just gave a bored congress-thing an idea.

    I'm disagreeing with you on this one. I'd much rather let people have the freedom to carry on the pocket knives. This is almost the same argument as concealed carry. Would you rather the terrorists be assured that their victims are disarmed? The better answer to airplane security, IMO, is secured cockpit door and armed pilots.

    LOL, that is the government's idea of a first date. I wouldn't work for any of those idiots for any amount of money--because what they buy with their very high wages is your mind. They actively seek to own what you think, and most people who do work for those types of employers are not known for their thinking. Some do.............but not many.

    There should be no TSA. Security should be handled privately by each airline. The Air Marshall program is as far as the gov't involvement should go. I support with equal vigor all of the constitution including the 4th amendment. Profiling works better and is preferable to violation of all.

    Some first date... they don't even buy you dinner. I know people need jobs, but this is low. Freedom loving Americans don't work for the IRS or the TSA.

    I used to LOVE to fly. I'm the kind who would get all dressed up because it was an "experience" plus, I wanted the pilots to know I was worth getting safely to my destination. after 9/11? it's a gauntlet. every now and then as we all run it, you'll see someone snap because of the weirdness it all is. those TSAers just look like stone.

    TSA = Thousands Standing Around

    I hate flying now because of TSA. I have to do a major preflight to make sure I remember to take my pocket knife out of my pocket and my Swiss Arm knife out of my purse, along with my nail clippers and all but 1 pen, no safety pins or anything resembling a pointy thing.

    I fly very little these days because of the TSA. I can't stand them. When I need to travel from city to city on the Eastcoast it is easier to drive by the time you account for the lines and actual travel time. Anything longer it is easier to just charter a flight, and nearly just as expensive. The TSA has ruined air travel, which was the goal of the terrorists.

    I don't fly First Class (waaaaay to thrifty)...BUT if I did I would expect decent utensils. Oh well, it's neither here nor there now as I can legally cut my sub sandwich with my pocket knife. Freedom!!!

    You got steak? When I flew last month, I got Coke and nothing to eat. You think a 90 minute flight would rate at least a pretzel or two.
