I enjoy having people find out that I am an armored knight - from my deeds, rather than my armor. It is in the DOING, not the panoply, as you know.
But in the spirit of high chivalry, as a silk handkerchief stands for the lady herself, a walking stick today may stand for either lance or sword. Any thing which _may_ remind you of who you are _can_ do so. Imagination is a knightly virtue; Eleanor said so.

and remarkably Fox gets vilified. Go figure.

I'll take my news with a more conservative pro-American slant any day.

...shaking head in utter belief... that's our MSM. Anyone notice that virtually none of them have made much of the admission by the Obamcare architect that it was carefully crafted to obfuscate the truth from the "stupid" electorate? It is only on talk radio and FOX... at least in any meaningful way so far. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/11/...

The problem is that the Republicans do not hold enough votes in House and Senate to pass veto-proof legislation. Therefore, they cannot accomplish any legislation -- including appropriations -- without achieving compromise with enough Democrats to get legislation passed that the President will sign, or to get enough Democrat votes for a bill to make it veto-proof. The Republicans' choice is either to compromise or shut down the government for two years, at least, in which case, market chaos would result as the the President unconstitutionally defaults on the nation's debt. I say, "unconstitutionally," because the Constitution requires the President to pay the debts of the nation before paying anything else -- even his own salary.

That may be true but at least there would be discussion instead of just driving a progressive agenda down everyone's throat like the other 2 party do now. :)

Which will never happen unless it is somehow to the left's advantage. You are correct, the founders pulled off a miracle, which we have been chipping away at for the past 200 years.

Note to self: Store CINO for future use here and elsewhere.

IMHO, this country was founded on the far right. Every single compromise is a move to the left which is away from freedom and into socialism. The only compromise we can afford now is from the left to the right.

Libs promise prosperity without effort. When it inevitably fails, the folks turn to the Republicans, but they still want the freebies. The Repubs get fearing they'll lose the next election, so instead of sticking to what they know is right, they become Lib Lite.

When Liberals win, the media says they have a "mandate." When Conservatives win, it is a call for "compromise." Go figure.

Republican is merely a label and stands only for whatever the party platform says it stands for - although they haven't even done that for quite some time.

I would call them CINO's instead. Most could not be considered conservative by any rational evaluation, even though they haul out the term when it suits them.

Those zombies are probably lost in a world accessed by their electronic hand-held toys. They don't care what Obama does. What? There was an election? Did Hillary run?

No doubt. In reality, most of the RNC leadership also believe in these same policies, they just want to be the ones in charge carrying them out.

don'cha think that the supreme court might take a
bite out of this crime, and then the medical device
tax repeal, and then another bite -- this might be
the way the elephant is eaten away. -- j

That's the modern media for you: asking absurd questions. No wonder they're dying.

I do not mind a slightly medieval atmosphere - chivalry does not have to depart just because we are modern. (And I would much rather be a knight in shining armor than a used car salesman.)

Unfortunately, BO doesn't believe that that the American people have made their decision. He thinks that the two thirds that didn't vote are on his side. This is the sad situation that there is so many US citizens have given up in participating in this supposed Constitutional Republic. If, there was closer to an 80% turnout a the polls BO would be see that he can no longer live in his Socialist Fantasy. Are the American people are just lazy or have they just given up? I'm beginning to believe that when more constitutional freedoms are eroded away and more corporations move out of the US that maybe people will wake up. Or just maybe an "Zombie Apocalypse".

Sub texts of the visual aside, the word compromise is the key for me. It is to be expected. And as the cartoon portrays, much of the media will be expecting it. Screw 'em. If after this resounding thumping of the Democrats and all they stand for, compromise should be the last thing to be considered. The GOP has been given the chance to bring the real America back. If it can put its foot on the path to that end, there is no doubt that '16 will be theirs. If they don't, then who cares? We will be a one party system country.

Love it, but it was too late to kill ObamaCare, which passed only because the response to Bush invading everyone was to throw both houses and the presidency to the socialist D's.

The R's should act appropriately and responsibly so that the situation doesn't reverse itself in 2016.
