I sing. I think there's a picture of me running around on here somewhere where I am doing it on a piano

thank you so much - what a treat!

I can sing [as in carry a tune; I used to sing 8-part harmony in Madrigals] and the Wizard can REALLY sing.

I like getting together to sing [holiday carols, for example] but my tastes are so narrow that I bow out relatively often. [although OA and nma are working on me, rather successfully I think!]

There have been a few threads discussing musical talent in the Gulch. There are several of us who are solid amateur musicians, but no professionals to my knowledge. I actively asked whether there was a Richard Halley among us and found no one to claim that mantle.

I wonder how many singers we have in the gulch?
A choir director and digital sound expert to organize a web composite recording?

I look for the same symmetry in my understanding of how nanomaterials self-assemble into higher order structures. Not coincidentally I have a lot of math training and sing weekly. I don't play my saxophone anymore; I just don't have enough time to practice that to stay near a top level. With singing, once per week is enough to keep me at about the equivalent of a golfer with a 2 handicap (close to professional, but not quite).
