This clam survived for 507 years. Scientsts killed it determining its age. That just sound dumb.

    We should immediately launch a scientific study to determine the ages of all elected officials.

    In other news, I wonder how these scientists define "creature?" There are many living entities on Earth that are older than 507, some plants and some fungi among them.

    I had thought that a Galapagos tortoise by Charles Darwin was still alive, but according to Wikipedia, "Adwaita, who died in 2006 at the estimated age of 255." Hmmm, only twice as old as the oldest human.

    Foot of Mt. Lassen... 4200 ft elevation, in the big trees... Setting up a business where there is a definite need, and opportunity for profit (and hopefully, generate some local employment)... wouldn't be anywhere else!

    Had Frutti di Mare at this Italian place in Yreka the other night - Spectacular - tho I think the mussels were a bit too young, somewhere less than 100 years... ;-)

    Government scientists kill things and kill people. That's why the government hires them. Kill, kill, kill. They probably all stood around in their white lab coats with their bellys sticking out patting each other on the back after killing it.

    there's always stuff to do. it was my responsibility to kill a scorpion in the dark all by myself. the designated scorpion killer was sleeping like a baby. I didn't scream. this time
