and, yes, Teri -- thie is REAL compassion, not that
crap which the progressives use as their fake
    calling-card. -- j

p.s. Brooks gave the woman his guitar as a gift. . in tune.

the steel guitar carried much of the trail-out
of that song ... after growing up loving hawaiian
guitar, I finally bought a steel this past summer.
they don't have to sound "country" -- just stay
away from some of the "whiny" stuff. check out
brit Sarah Jory on this song, written by Queen's
    astro-physics PhD guitarist Brian May:

except for a tiny drift flat in the conclusion, this
is a masterpiece performance, in my book. -- j

That one small act has to supercharge his career. Too bad other performers aren't smart enough to realize how important their audience members are.

That was great. A performer who was able to put his ability to touch someone else above his own performance. I do not know who Garth is, but I like him.

I'm sure everyone there, including that woman, knew his statement was just to life her spirits. Even so, I commend people like him who at least try to create a memorable moment for those whose lives are being cut short by something beyond their control.

Country music has grown on me since I had kids.

I hear too much about cancer, esp pancreatic, from my wife's practice. I hope genetic sciences find a way to stop it cold one day.

    "you go kick cancer's ass!"
