So, how many other machines have done this, but no one noticed? Or said anything? And in Illinois no less.... The home of Chicago... Wow, I don't really believe this was an error. How about manual ballots?

Theoretically, there would be a professionalism in the ranks of the USPS that would call for them to transmit all correspondence duly paid for. However, in reality, those union thugs will look at the poster's of such correspondence and if they disagree, they will ditch it.

I am a rather prolific poster of letters to the editor in our local paper. I have no doubt that the postal carriers and postal workers in the local office know who I am, and my political leanings. It would not be difficult for them to take my ballot response (since I'm usually out of town on election day, I nearly always vote some form of absentee) and dispose of it. I nearly always bring the ballot in personally, so that it is delivered directly to the clerk of the town. Does this ensure that it isn't then disposed of? No. But I can at least after the fact check to see if I had voted, and if not, challenge where my ballot ended up. Not foolproof, but better than nothing.

Sorry I'm late to this topic, but I was listening to Bill Bennett this am and heard that Colorado votes by MAIL! With the news about the post office employees dumping mail, going thru mail etc etc. Also, aren't all Post Office employees Union members? If so, might they have some interest in who's vote they are taking in? This also sets up the famous "Oh, look what I found in the back of a mail truck" in a close race. One last thought, how can you check to see if your vote counted. We should go back to paper ballots where you can see your vote recorded and if there is a problem, you can go back and manually count them.

The IRS crusade to revoke 501(c)3 status from only right-wing groups is also election fraud, and it is ongoing despite the hearings in Congress. So I'm not surprised this is going on, too.

We need to let the Congresscritters know loud and clear, they must preserve a completely honest and fair system of elections, or we'll be forced to overthrow them by other means than running for office. And there are no degrees of honesty; it's all-or-nothing.

Having seen this story in various locations for the last couple days, one obvious question has yet to pop up ...why would a voting machine be ABLE to be "calibrated" to change a vote input? The feds managed to get a 'firewall" between investigative agencies, yet in their regulatory frenzy, they seem to have "overlooked" fail-safing a reasonably simple device.....

Off by a few pixels... Yes, you should have reported it. It's not too late to report it!

"... No your honor. I did not intend to cave the victim's head in with a hammer, I meant to brush the dandruff off his shoulders with a feather duster, but due to a 'calibration error' the selection of tools was incorrect, as was the force applied."

    Who was fired?! Nobody?!

    Thought so!

(When is it OK to start shooting?)
((I know - I know. Politically Incorrect. Even for here.))

(((But I still want to know!)))

It was clearly a calibration error. They failed to have it "calibrate" the votes after the voter could no longer see that it was calibrating their vote. Timing is everything after-all.

That was before I moved here. Sen. Reid has an approval down near 20% these days. I think he's up for reelection in 2016.
