Watch What Happens When a Citizen Pulls Over A Cop & Tells Him He’s Breaking the Law

I applaud both parties. The LEO was at first hesitant but then respectful and seemed willing to learn something and the guy who questioned the officer was within his right as well as respectful. He respectfully gave the officer a lesson and a “warning” without further incident or escalation which is how more interactions between officers and civilians should be handled regardless of which party initiates.

Great post! I really found this interesting. The cop was cool and the man asking him questions sure had balls.

this was really a kind of prank, as I see it;;; the guy
should have been working through his State representative
to correct the systematic violation of State law by the local officer.
and perhaps he had already done that -- and perhaps he was
immensely frustrated with the bureaucratic delays. I sure would be. -- j

p.s. by the link provided by Commander, above, this is a matter
of contention, and the adherence to the State law is being
resisted by the locals. the prank may be a good idea. it might
apply pressure if it is well viewed and publicized.

But I have to wonder if he complied with the law or just continued his shift??? Here in San Antonio, the cars look like any other car on the road unless you look at the side. They have holographic police labels on the doors. Hard to spot if you are in front or behind them.

The same method that Stalin used - the Georgians would "watch over" the Ukrainians, the Ukrainians would do the same to Armenians, etc.

That was really cool. We pay for the police to do what WE want, and not what they feel like doing once they have the "power".

They are, in actuality -- not just thinking, above the law. If you don't believe that, ask them. Or better yet, pick one atrocious act committed by a policeman against a citizen, follow the case and note that the cop got several weeks or longer paid vacation or easy desk job, then continues on with his job.

Videos that go viral on the Internet may have kept that policeman calm.

A good productive exchange between the officer and the citizen. Sounds like the officer learned something, hopefully. Mutual respect on both sides is refreshing.

You don't have to tell me about obfuscation.....2 years tied up in an intellectual property lawsuit. Sad part....I can't sue opponents lawyer for conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

Yes. I also noted this comment in the third comment down... "As of last Sunday, I'm back in a marked unit. I starting to miss being just another car on the road, you see so much more in a plain ride." Wonder why???? If he was in a marked vehicle people would drive more carefully... isn't that the point? To avoid injury...?

    Hello Commander,
Apparently many are fooled and some wish to fool others. Sadly, plain English is too much for many to comprehend. Hence the distortions of our Constitution... The meaning and purpose is clear, but the propagandists are expert manipulators and deceivers... Equivocation, prevarication and sophistry...
    Respectfully,
    O.A.

If you are an undercover detective, what need have you for a siren? I believe only black and white cars with gigantic visible bubble gum machine lights on top, with well marked POLICE script and car numbers should able to enforce traffic and any other enforcement measures not requiring undercover evidence gathering. The good old days... so much more civil... respectful...

I think there should be damned few detectives in unmarked cars. If you have a siren in that car, we deserve to know who you are

Indeed. Unmarked cars should only be used by detectives. They should not be used for traffic law enforcement. If safety and rule compliance on the roads is paramount then a marked car keeps everyone in line and may avoid more incidents simply because of visibility.

    "revenuers with superiority issues" lol
unmarked cars have always made me nervous. Why are they important to have? and you should not be able to pull someone over in one and expect that person will comply. hell you could be anyone

We used to have more "Peace Officers." Now many are just revenuers with superiority issues. I like the occasional good ones. In my area we once had police officers that patrolled the area they lived in, but the higher ups didn't think they were bringing in enough revenue because they knew their neighbors and gave out more warnings and kept the peace. Now the officers are reassigned to areas in which they have no connection with the residents. I guess this makes it easier to write tickets...

Outstanding! We have insulated the police so much that they think they are above the law. It doesn't help we have all these TV shows set up for us to root for the police to get the bad guy by cheating and ignoring the law
