"I'm not a fan of Barack Obama," Caddell said. "My first allegiance is to my country. I have paid a huge price, and when I watch you people screwing up I'm offended."
I think it was somewhat heroic. but here's the thing. He's in the camp that wants capitalism to survive in order to keep the teat flowing. So he is unhappy with Obama, but spitting mad at the republicans for dropping the ball. now he's scared there won't be enough time. and really. why DO we put up with the establishment? I hope to see huge surges at tea party events. I won't be there physically, but in spirit and I support some good organizations out there including Americans for Prosperity. They tend to focus on economic freedom issues and ignore the social conservative stuff
That statement was inspiring!! That is the first time in YEARS that a self declared democrat hasn't just been talking out of his A$$!
He's is absolutely correct in his assessment of what is pulling the Republican Party down the toilet. This post, coupled with Pirate's post about country club republicans should be mandatory reading in government classes. The vast majority are so woefully uninformed in their country's governance, and the behind the scenes machinations, I'm surprised we're not be ruled by "Brownshirts"!
Thank you for posting this. Food for thought for a party we are attending today. :-)
