Shrugging in plain sight?

This is a house I pass daily. It has been allowed to deteriorate gradually, from the balcony that has collapsed, to the faded American flag on the front door and the shredded faded 'Don't Tread on Me' banner. I had to take off, because the guy was looking out the window at me when I took this!

OMG!!!!!!!!! I am so freaked out right now!!!!!!!!!! I was going to crack a joke before about if I saw dead animals in the yard, I was outta there. Well.
I finally got the nerve to back into the driveway so he could at least see the WIJG sticker on the car, so I didn't look like a looter. (Lol, kh). The front door clearly hasn't been opened on years, as the faded and tattered Old Glory hanging from the door jamb can attest to. The side doors have the fallen balcony in front of them, sooo that left the back door, which is under an overhang, and there is only one way in or out, as the other openings are filled with firewood and what looked like rusted traps. I knocked on the door, and can clearly hear a tv or radio from inside.

As I am standing there, I look around more carefully, and notice the furry carcass of a dead animal. I'm now more than a little freaked out. However, since I'm getting no response, I go around to the flag festooned front door, and knock. No answer, but I have that creepy feeling that I'm being watched.... I decided right there and then to beat feet. This place looks like something out of 'Deliverance'!!!!! I did snap one shot as I was leaving of the tattered flag. Besides that crown Vic, there is an Excursion, and a rotting old Cadillac.

Crap, I can't get the photo to paste here. Needless to say, I'm not doing that again, but I'm more determined to take a picture of the front of that place.!!!

Better not show up wearing a tie-dye shirt with a peace sign on it (the footprint of the American chicken) if you're looking to make a good first impression! He might assume you're a 'zombie.' lol.

Did you notice the car in the driveway? It looks like a Ford Crown Victoria? Old police car or currently owned by "them?"

Um, me? Drive fast? But, my neighbor has one.. Not me, just a stupid SUV, which I really can't whip around anything. It does dig in when necessary, however :-)

Oh my God! I would SOOOOO knock on his door and say, while pointing to the name plaque, "Who is John Galt?" Of course he looks perturbed, he's been watching the toilet water spinning for ages.... I love his cute little house... I want to knock on his door.....do it for us!!! Tell him you frequent Galt's Gulch and there are friends there....who want to see the inside of his house and fix his balcony. (just kidding...on the last part.)

Did you ever see the movie, 'My cousin Vinny'?, the scene in the courtroom where the pictures of the guy's dirty windows are being passed around? Imagine that, live and in person so to speak.
