This is a superb book. Very intense, and most liberals will avoid it because to fully understand it, you need to have a brain and the ability to think. Anyone who doesn't have it already needs to add it to your personal library...along side Atlas Shrugged, 1984, and if you're a Christian, the Bible.

One of the greatest books ever written. To bad the people in Washington do not comprehend its understanding and teachings. If more people would follow the teachings of Hayek then we could have a balanced budget and a more efficient government.

I read this book several years ago. It is essential reading for anyone interested in Austrian economics, history and the degeneration of liberty.
"The economic freedom which is prerequisite of any other freedom cannot be the freedom from economic care which the socialists promise us and which can only be obtained by relieving the individual at the same time of the necessity and of the power of choice: it must be the freedom of economic activity which, with the right of choice, inevitably also carries the risk and responsibility of that right." F.A. Hayek
