Washington, we have a problem
Anyone worried about an Ebola outbreak here in the US won't take consolation in the reality: the entirety of the US has only 19 beds equipped to deal with the problem.

- 2Posted by straightlinelogic 9 years, 6 months agoI cannot believe that people are not a lot more concerned about Ebola. Looking at its etiology, it appears to be a perfect candidate for a pandemic. It's early symptons are the same as for many other far less deadly diseases. It appears that the fluid-to-fluid contact necessary to contract the disease is really quite minimal, and the disease may be borne by aerosols through the air. It has a 10 to 20 day latency period. I keep reading people saying it will not spread within the developed world, but I do no see how it cannot spread, especially in urban environments. As the posted article points out, there are 19 beds equipped to deal with the problem. Not for one moment do I believe anything coming out of the government's mouth on this subject, nor do I believe it will be able to do much about this except maybe dispose of bodies.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
