Lyndon Johnson was quite poor growing up. Harry Truman came from a very modest background. Michelle Obama talked about how tight money was for her and Barack after college. They end up rich but didn't all start that way. I think she has a right to ask.

Oh, wow. I felt the same way.

I have zero love for Obama, but this letter is pointless. No President in my lifetime (going back to Truman) could answer "yes" to any of those have-you-ever-been-poor questions. Obama would say, and honestly believe, that his policies help people like her, while his opponents would reduce her to dumpster-diving and begging on the streets for aspirin to treat her child's broken leg.

He does help. He helps the auto industry, banks, big business and of course the billionaires who run them (I remember the bailouts). He's on his own agenda and that doesn't include the citizens of this nation. 'Social America!".

The questions are rhetorical. She is trying to get him to understand that he and his policies are crushing the very people they are supposed to help.

He can't be bothered with individual people. Maybe if she golfed she could talk to him in person.

Damn powerful letter. I hope things turn around for her soon. I highly doubt the letter ever reached Ovomit's desk though. >:/

I would also hope that the book gets few readers. What a waste of ink and paper.

You would think they would be awfully short. I think when Hillary's book comes out we should all say what possible difference does it make now!

Didn't know and couldn't remember. Hahaha. That should mean you can't write a memoirs doesn't it?

I got an e-mail yesterday that said Bill Clinton got 12 million dollars for his memoirs. Hillary got 8 million. Twenty million dollars to 2 people who constantly said they didn't know anything or couldn't remember anything. I wonder how much Obama will get?

He would never see it. He's to tender a soul, and to loving to be bothered by reality. After all. He couldn't be told about Bengahzi, ocare website failures, Fast & Furious, IRS etc. ect. ect. It could cause his golf score to fall.

I wonder if it will get their attention?
