Yep. Good friend of mine, former Secret Service, would be there for security as the representatives from various countries would pull up in their motorcades. He reported to me there was plenty of cocaine and hookers in the proceedings. Just traveling the world and partying it up on the back of the proles...

    Ayn Rand
. She did not see the UN as a neutral or beneficial institution, but as morally irredeemable because it sanctioned and gave “moral cover” to oppressive regimes

    Core Criticisms
    1. Moral corruption and complicity with tyranny
Rand argued that the UN’s very membership list made it complicit in evil. She condemned the inclusion of the Soviet Union — which she described as “the worst aggressor and bloodiest butcher in history” — as a “grotesque pretense” of world peace and human rights

. She also criticized the 1971 UN admission of communist China, replacing the Republic of China, as a betrayal of justice, since the new regime had seized power by force and ruled through terror

    .

    2. Inverting the purpose of the UN
According to Rand, the UN was created “for the alleged purpose of preventing wars by uniting the world against any aggressor, but proceeded to unite it against any victim of aggression”
    Ayn Rand Lexicon
. She saw it as a tool that had become “a means of using the united might of the world to force the surrender of one helpless country after another into the aggressor’s power”

    3. No moral legitimacy
Rand believed that “an individual should not cooperate with criminals, and… free countries should not cooperate with dictatorships”

. She held that the UN’s corruption, cynicism, and dishonor left “no margin for error” — it was, in her words, “a monstrosity”

    4. Political and strategic betrayal
She also saw the UN as enabling communist expansion by granting them “civilized respectability” and Western material support, while offering free countries nothing in return

    Rand’s Position on Withdrawal
“I do not sanction the grotesque pretense of an organization… which includes Soviet Russia… as one of its members… I do not believe that an individual should cooperate with criminals, and… free countries should not cooperate with dictatorships”
    legacy.newideal.aynrand.org
.She explicitly endorsed withdrawal from the UN, arguing that free nations should not participate in an institution that, in her view, “irreparably enables evil”

    Agree entirely, well written.
    Old stuff but needs repeating.
What value is the UN to the US?
What value is it to anyone?
