A New Approach to Education - Rational, Concept-Based, Virtue-Driven
I've been away a while, working to keep a private school (Grades 6-12) based mostly on Objectivist principles going in Silicon Valley, the Belly of the Beast. I have also incorporated Objectivist Virtues into the AI usage policy, unlike any other school I have researched in California. I have been in private education management for 35 years and own the school I currently run.
Due to the rapid growth of AI and the way it is used in most schools, just an accelerator bolted onto an anti-conceptual Prussian system, I pushed myself to write the first book (of a three volume set).

From what I have witnessed over the last few years--cognitively damaged students coming in from the elementary schools, I believe it is critically important to get these ideas to elementary school teachers, leaders, and anyone developing AI policy and/or apps for schools.
I would very much appreciate any educators, especially with rational minds to receive a link to the book and participate in some discussion at my Substack: http://usefuleaters.substack.com.
I assume many of you will understand the Harari reference to the new class of useless eaters that I want to rescue.
I have spent nearly all the energy I have getting this far, and hope to find others to join a movement to create a parallel education system that will focus on proper cognitive development. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.
By the way, our middle schoolers enjoyed Atlas Shrugged in 2025-2026! Several of them later asked to borrow the Fountainhead, Anthem, and others off my own book shelf.
Another by the way: The second volume follows a young Howard Roark type architect exploring what a school is supposed to be before accepting the commission to build 'The School of the Future'. It exposes the fatal flaws in what schools are becoming and re-establishes a concept-based virtue-driven framework in terms anyone can understand.
