In this topsy-turvy post That which often follows, completes the delusion . . . but every sentence doesn't get a period . . .

Captain McConnell indeed. It fits, nasty, but fits. The tree is a good one! The trip from TX, 1650 miles in three days with a 15' UHaul towing a car came close to nature when we managed to avoid a flash flood in Tennessee. No trees, please😅. Sorry about the emojis, had to do it for emphasis because this batch is super and funny.

That sounds like a good plan - I still have one XP to run some old rate disks (that I really should download but every time I have tried to do that it leaves off several columns) but as soon as that contract is complete - am done.....

    Good ones, as always, OUC.
On the tree and traffic cone one:
A friend of mine nearly totaled his van in the morning after hurricane Helene, the same way. There was no traffic cone (and no lights at all in upstate SC) and he was lucky the tree trunk came through the windshield on the passenger side.

So, MANY Decades ago. Little Captain had never been in a plane, but chose to sky dive, to overcome his fear of heights (True story).

And while learning how to pull the secondary shoot open, I asked "How hard do you have to pull on it to open it?"

Instructor: "Son, we could WELD that thing closed, and after you released your primary shoot... I'd bet you'd find the strength to open it!"

It was at that moment I realized "There ARE Dumb questions!" LOL

    Great Stuff.
When I retire. I will switch to linux.
I will keep 1 VM that runs windows, for access to my old client software. And then I am done.

That is because someone who is coming in the door of a hardware store is someone who is going to do SOMETHING for themselves....not someone who expects someone else to do EVERYTHING for them - for nothing!!!

Thanks for the collection OGC!! The hitting the pothole - back in the day that would have applied to all of my rides!

And the Ides of March! Quite the sight gag...

And the opening panel explains why I feel .... the way I do most of the time!!!

My goodness, OUC, what an awesome collection you have presented this week! Ice Titanic is an amazing piece of work. A snow artist lives down the street from me, but not this detailed. It's going to take a while to memorize the "wtf" alternative, LOL! Star Trek McConnell - ouch, but priceless! Sometimes it feels like I'm in #1, ha ha. I need to find the right pothole to fix my car radio (CD and Aux are fine, AM/FM out to lunch). I've never jumped out of a plane, but I know where the parachutist is coming from! THANK YOU, OUC, for a great collection!

Great collection. As a Gearhead I loved the trucker who hit the pothole and the next one with the traffic cone.

After reviewing the memes, it occurred to me dino that a New Yorker who'd vote for Mamdamncommie would bother placing a traffic safety cone before such a plainly seen blocked by an act of nature street or would write those parachute instructions I read.
