We're not getting as many of those calls from India as we once did, but when I do I say, "Ullu ka patha." It's a very mild curse in Hindi.

I don't answer any numbers I don't recognize. Sometimes they leave a message, usually not. If it's someone I actually want to talk to, I can call them back.

I NEVER buy ANYTHING from a phone solicitor. If I want something I will initiate the purchase.

Nice! After working in China for a US company I picked up a bit of Chinese language so when an unknown call comes in I answer in Mandarin. Sometimes it gets pretty funny, LOL.

The Roman ordering beer was priceless.

I've gotten several of those calls also and I think it's a scam because they are trying to get you to say yes. They finally hang up if you keep answering in the affirmative w/o saying yes. There's been cases where they use your recorded yes to sign you up for something that's going to cost you money.
