They could easily have chosen a more representative exemplar for what's quintessentially American, than "UFC Freedom 250". LOL! .
I used the term "Metaphoric" because that the way it seemed to me.

We still have laws of the sea but there is a whole lot more to the British system. Prometheus should have some explanation
