The Two and a Half Men and the Tampon rose to the top for me. I'm not sure that that one would have qualified for one man let alone two and a half.
My hot lunch in grade school was 30 cents a day and you can get an extra half pint carton of milk for 2 cents. The movie was 12 cents and the popcorn cost 15 cents. This was in a small country town in the late 40s and 50s.

The 50's were when i was a bit to young to remember, but was in HS in a small county in IN late 60's early 70's. The closest movie was 30 mi away, and Dad charged us er mile for using the car so was always interesting. With everything going on right now, almost - said almost - wish I were back there.

Thank you, OUC, for the great start of my day! Hah, the Babylon Bee is more to the point than the MSMM! Oh yes, the socialists that think electricity is different for them than all others. Great opener!

Great collection!! Have already passed a few along - talking to a 30 YO liberal - I do like my fries! And Steyer - what a mess... The Dems FINALLY getting beat at redistricting - that was a good thing to see... And of course the opener - the idiots that think that Trump assassination attempt was a false flag! What the heck are people being taught or fed from the "news media" these days???

    Thanks for your post!!

Miss the full size spares myself. And I hate to see drivers going down the highway at highway speeds on one of those "donuts". Scares heck out of me cause you know they are going to blow, and the person behind the wheel will not know how to control it....

Used to be; "Brother can you spare a dime" Today it's: "Brother can you spare a Tampon"

I would also imagine that they are "Space Saving tampons" like todays spare tires .
Miss those days of full size spares . . .

And I remember the "brother can you spare me a dime" - could get an endless cup of coffee, or a phone call...both of which were, for me, like a gold nugget at the time....

Hot lunch in grammar school was 35 cents.

We often took apart someone's upholstered chair
they were dumping and went bowling for a whole Saturday with the proceeds . . . that included the shoe rental !

Was at a parochial school in grade school - we took lunch - whatever we could make before we had to leave. We used to get a carton of milk in the afternoon if we had a nickel - but the school did not have a cafeteria.
          The Nuns were tough!
When I got to high school after we moved had lunch for I think it was $2.25 for the week. Some of the stuff they had on the school lunch plan was inedible but he al a carte was expensive!
Gum was outlawed at the school - used to by a pack of 10 pkgs at the store for $.50 for the package and then sell them at school for $.10. a pack.
All the fun stuff at the time!!!
