It took this long to figure out that gold will be stolen? It's been in the wind for decades, and the balance can tip at any time. If you need more items in your preparations, you might think about spending a small amount of your stash to get it. Prices on everything will soar after the next midterm elections if Repubs lose seats, and though the price of gold continues to rise, confiscation payments will be minuscule. Availability of items may drop as well. Think about it, study the signs. This current precious metals market is overinflated by far, and this artificial rise is draining cash from everyone who invests. Imagine what will happen to personal finances when the metals are stolen, valued at pennies on the dollar, paid for in worthless dollars...
