Carrying an ID while hiking
My wife and I were out walking a trail today, and she delivered what may be the line of the year so far. We're both retired, so her Medicare card is her insurance card. I have to remind her on occasion to make sure she has, at the very least, her driver's license and her Medicare card when we hit the trails.
So we're on the trail earlier today, when she told me that she had her ID and Medicare card. I responded by saying that she should never go anywhere without her ID, because there isn't much you can do in this world without an ID.
Her response: "Except vote".
I gave her a standing ovation.

After listening to my rants for over 33 years and then doing her own research to see things for herself, she's pretty solidly planted on the right side.| Permalink
