I was agreeing with all of them - and then got to Churchill. I have read many of his books, and a couple of his biographies and had not run across that one.

Had a CD that my dad had given me of his speeches (lost in a move) and just hearing him speak was chilling. Especially in the dark days while England was standing alone.

Was wondering if the US Military (number 3) was ever going to be respected again. Glad to see that we are. And agree completely with 7 - almost the entire world is standing with us! Except the US Media and the US democrat party.

And as I study the rules, the RMDs (required minimum distributions), etc.

You realize it's all designed to PREVENT the next generation from retiring without the government.

Imagine if I could take the RMD, pay a NOMINAL 5% tax (not affecting MY income tax), and TRANSFER it to a TRUMP Account or my Childs IRA/401(k). So it could grow for them.

Let that sink in. When I die, if I have $ 1 million in retirement (IRA/401k), it transfers. They have 10yrs to EMPTY the account, AND they have to follow the RMDs if they applied to me.

But imagine if they could OPT to add it to their retirement instead, and pay the nominal 5-10% tax without affecting their "INCOME" and driving them into a much higher tax bracket. A bracket that quickly PREVENTS them from using a ROTH IRA.

We literally PUNISH Saving. We do everything to PAY the government, or force the next generation to RELY on the government.

Also, imagine if this were setup this way, how many more people would actually start saving more (and sooner) for their own retirement, KNOWING it would help their children.

Finally, for all of those parents who bought their children their degrees in the last 10+ years. If you cannot afford to retire now... Was it worth it? Where would you be TODAY, if you had invested that money in a tax deferred account instead? (Worse, MOST of your children would likely be BETTER OFF and BETTER PEOPLE... Had they NOT went to university... Sad to say).

Love them all for truth and mirth. Gosh, do you think Kimmy-boy, meme #5, might be worried? Third from last Churchill knew that a long time ago. I've started reading the 4400 page tome, "The Last Lion", by William Manchester, which is an in depth biography of Winston Churchill. He had his demons, but had a historical intellect and decision capability very few possess. I heard on the radio this morning the Brits are taking his image off their currency and may put animal images instead. Indeed, the Marxist/Jihadi consortium needs to erase him from British consciousness. Over here, Obama hated Churchill and had his bust removed from the White House and sent it to the British embassy. I'd like to see Trump bring it back to the Oval Office to stand as a middle finger raised to his detractors every time a press conference or interview is held there.

So, maybe I'm being naive, but the Ds are only half the problem. I'm not real impressed with the Rs at present. I sometimes feel like when the Rs get into power again in congress, their first order of business is to see which wet dream they can f*ck up this time.
