Many people want to be told the right answer my charismatic and/or people they trust. It is WAY easier than figuring out what is right on one's own. Most people want to be told what to believe.

I understand your point, Thor, but socialism can be a religion complete with its own inquisition teams to root out non-believers. It may not be what you or I believe, but what "they" believe that impacts our lives.

I wish religion would not seep into discussions on socialism.

Religion has nothing to do with freedom. We have nothing to gain from it, and everything to lose from it.

Socialist systems can be made to appear to work as long as there is a strong capitalist base to support them. The support is through government thievery, of course.
